Introduction

The Youth Daily News is a newspaper published by the Government of the Republic of China. In 1952, the General Political Warfare Department decided to establish the Youth Warrior Daily to strengthen servicemen’s ideology and enhance their faith as a means to unify young civilians and soldiers and accomplish revolutionary missions. After half a year of preparation, it began publication on October 10, 1952.

The Youth Warrior Daily was an internal military newspaper, printed in quarter-cut format and distributed only within the armed forces. To improve its informational impact, the Youth Warrior Daily was renamed the Youth Daily News on October 10, 1984.

To integrate the military’s information services, the Youth Daily News later merged with New China Publisher and began managing the Endeavor, Victorious, and Home, Sweet Home periodicals, as well as internet e-book licensing and digital creative artwork production. Since then, YDN has become a multi-purpose military information organization. On January 1, 2018, Victorious was merged into Home, Sweet Home, which was reorganized as a bimonthly publication.

As a platform for promoting military information efforts, the Youth Daily News not only provides ordinary news reports similar to those of other media counterparts but also focuses on governmental and defense-related news. Through its website, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube, the Youth Daily News delivers real-time information on military readiness and training, all-out defense events, and other activities after transforming into a digitized professional military journalistic organization.

In the field of military cultural and creative development, Warriors Art & Creativity was established to design and develop a wide range of military-themed cultural and creative products. These items have been widely favored and collected by the public.
